Some Internet Service Providers offer unlimited download for free during wee hours. BSNL, for example, lets you download stuff for free from 2 AM to 8 AM, which means you need to stay awake till 2 AM to start a download. Instead, you can use a download manager to schedule downloads after you go to sleep.
You can use any download manager for this purpose. I’m using Free Download Manager in this example (I highly recommend it). Let’s see the steps to schedule a download…

1. Launch Free Download Manager.
2. Click on the big “+” sign below the File menu, and enter the URL of the file you want to download in the dialog box that follows.
3. Move down and find ‘Save to folder’, and enter the folder where you want the file to be saved. If you want to change the file name, change it in the ‘Save as’ text field below.
4. Click the ‘Schedule’ radio button and click on the clock icon.

5. In the ‘Schedule download’ dialog box, enter the time you want your download to start. If you’re a BSNL broadband user, it’s safer to start your download at 2.15 AM because there might be a time difference between your clock and BSNL’s clock. Be sure to select the next day as the download date and make sure it’s 2 AM and not PM!
6. Click OK, and then return to the main dialog box, and click OK again.
Now you can go to sleep. Repeat these steps to add more downloads in a single session.
